About Kashmir

The famous royal poet, Amir Khusro immortalised Kashmir in these lines, “Agar firdaus bar roo-e zameen ast, Hameen ast-o hameen ast-o hameen ast.” - it means if there is paradise on earth , it is this , it is this! The land of KAshmir is indeed the crowning jewel of India. The beauty of Dal Lake, the dreamines of the Shikaras and the carpeted forest floors of Gulmarg; the land is truly blessed by an ethereal charm. Although rife with domestic and international conflict, the valleys of Kashmir are standing steadfast in their charm. Flanked on either sides by the Great Himalayan and the Pir Panjal Ranges, the mountains stand tall as guardians of this heaven on earth. Many great rivers of India, also find their origins in these ranges giving rise to some truly mystical landscapes as they flow down into the valleys, forested with orchards and decorated by lily-laden lakes. A favorite among tourists all over the world, it is said that travelling to Kashmir is an experience that takes a few days but lasts for a lifetime.
